State Specifics
Standard 3.2.2A has been introduced to standardise the levels of training required for workers who handle and serve high risk foods. This includes Food Safety Supervisors. The new standard is the same across all states, allowing businesses to understand national requirements based on their sector and standard categorisations of businesses. However, in NSW, the Food Authority have introduced additional requirements for Food Safety Supervisors that go beyond standard 3.2.2A.
Food Safety Supervisors employed in NSW still have to follow the requirements outlined in Standard 3.2.2A, however, the NSW Food Authority has some additional requirements. In this state, Food Safety Supervisors must receive certification approved by the NSW Food Authority, proving that the course has included training in safe egg handling, allergen management, cleaning, and sanitizing practices.
No. If you are a NSW based food business, the Food Safety Supervisor training courses offered by QMS Audits have the same content as the courses for other states. We include training in all topics required by the NSW Food Authority in each course. All of our courses are approved across all states, by FSANZ and the NSW Food Authority.
