QMS Audits ISO 14001:2026 Training delivers a comprehensive explanation of each ISO 14001 requirement and how to implement them within an organisation. Learn how to document the environmental objectives of an organisation by mapping out processes and conducting a SWOT analysis. Our straight-forward approach gives participants a practical way of identifying gaps using common audit trails.
The course can be taken as a stand-alone unit or as an extension of ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor courses. For those managing an integrated management system, the training compliments ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Training.

Environmental Management FAQ
ISO 14001 is often part of an organisations integrated management system that also includes ISO 9001 and ISO 45001. These systems are implemented to show businesses and government that the organisation is an established and reliable supplier. Staff need to be proficient in ISO 14001 to conduct internal audits and auditors need to understand it to carry out external audits. Course participants come from a wide range of industries including packaging, mining and resources, construction and manufacturing.
ISO 14001 is a management system that helps organisations achieve their environmental objectives. The standard provides a framework to manage environmental responsibilities in a systematic manner that contributes to the environmental pillar of sustainability. Organisations set objectives to reduce the organisations environmental impact.
As with all ISO standards, each organisation must document their process flow and conduct an analysis to ensure processes have been controlled to ensure consistency of outputs to specification.
At QMS Audits, the basic guide is “Document what you do, then do what you have documented”.
QMS Audits’ ISO 14001 Foundation course explains how the ISO 14001 standard works. We go through each of the ISO 14001 requirements, explaining how each works and what is involved. This training is delivered in a workshop style with loads of class discussion and plenty of time to ask specific questions about your business and your ISO 14001 management system. As a class we map out your processes, conduct a SWOT analysis to identify potential opportunities and threats from the external environment as well as the internal strengths and weaknesses
Once all assessments are successfully completed, participants receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for the following units of competency:
